The Palms in Kamala is definately a hidden gem, the apartments have absolutely everything you need to make a short or long stay a holiday pleasure, the quality of fixtures and fittings are first class and the service from their friendly staff is brilliant, i have stayed at The Palms on several occasions, the location is perfect and the experience is simply unbeatable...you can't stay there only once, repeat customers are why The Palms is unbeatable. We stayed at The Palms for 6 nights in one of the pool-side rooms. There were four of us which was perfect as there are 2 very large bedrooms and 2 very modern bathrooms. The kitchen was great as we could stock up on food and drinks from the shop a few doors down. The location was amazing with just a 1 minute walk to Kamala Beach and a 10 minute tuk-tuk to Patong. The tuk-tuk is 400 baht to get there which worked out at next to nothing for four people. The buffet breakfast was really good, with fresh fruits, cereals, eggs, pancakes, french toast and an array of other really tasty dishes. The poolside room was such a good way to relax as we literally stepped in from our balcony. It was PERFECT to be able to escape Patong and make very easy trips when we wanted to go out. The cocktails for 79 baht were awesome and the food was some of the best we found in Kamala.

We stayed at the Palms for a week over Christmas. The hotel has facilities which are fine - and actually very good given the absolutely central location for the hotel. However the apartment (we had the 3 bed deluxe penthouse) was just fantastic. The rooms are very big, gorgeous ensuite bathrooms, good TV and kitchenette facilities. Cleaners came every day. The roof terrace was fantastic though the spa looked unused. The service in the hotel is very good. May at the front desk in particular is great, so helpful and kind. We also used the babysitting service, Ping (sorry for spelling!) was just lovely, as was another girl who's name I have forgotten. If you want a resort with gardens, big pools etc this isn't for you - but we really wanted to be close to the beach and restaurants etc and this was just perfect for us. The massive, comfortable apartment meant we were able to spend time indoors when we needed to keep the little ones out of the sun. Worth taking a tuk tul to laem singh beach despite the inflated tuk tuk prices. In the morning particularly it's just beautiful We will come back!

Many TV channels like HBO, Moviestar, MTV. Room is clean. Kitchen is well equipped. Beds are comfortable. Air-conditioning is working fine. Kids like the pool a lot. It's just outside the balcony. They swam everyday.
